Job Description: We are seeking a Human Factors Expert to lead forensic investigations involving human perception, decision-making, and responsive behavior applied to motor vehicle, premises, industrial, and product related claims. This role will serve as a lead expert on human factors case investigations, requiring client retention and management as well as testimony in legal settings including depositions and trials.
Responsibilities: The Human Factors Expert will be responsible for working on multi-disciplinary projects conducting in-depth analyses of human perception, cognition, attention, decision-making, and response behavior. This role will involve developing and maintaining a client list, providing timely and accurate feedback on retained topics. The expert will conduct inspections of incident sites, vehicles/equipment, products, and environmental conditions, including taking calibrated photographs and/or videos replicating expected visual conditions based on scientific methodology. This role will require the preparation of detailed technical reports, as well as legal testimony in deposition, arbitration, and trial settings.
Compensation: $100,000 to $300,000 annually, commensurate with experience, paid monthly

Requirements: ·
Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Ergonomics, or related field. ·
2+ years of experience in human factors ·
Proven expertise in human perception, cognition, attention, and response behavior in applied settings. ·
Experience with human factors analyses in forensic accident investigation contexts ·
Strong analytical skills and ability to research and interpret scientific literature, standards, and complex datasets. ·
Complete site, vehicle, and product inspections related to human factors ·
Ability to handle a high case load and short deadlines ·
Effective management of time and support staff ·
Strong reading comprehension and written/verbal communication with command of the English language ·
Competency using basic tools and equipment (i.e., camera, tape measure, level, etc.) ·
Competency using a PC with proficiency in Microsoft Office ·
Strong work ethic ·
Meets or exceeds billing requirements ·
Requires local and regional travel and reliable transportation ·
Eligible to work in the United States ·
Background and DMV check
