Video Editor & Motion Graphics
ProductionHUB, Washington, District of Columbia, United States
Remote, Hourly, May – November
Overview Political ad season is around the corner and I’m looking to bring on a great editor to help carry the load. I run a small post house and need someone reliable to work alongside me from May through November. The work is project‑based and the pace will vary; some weeks are busy, some are manageable. If you’ve worked in politics before, you know how it goes when election season hits full swing.
Responsibilities
Premiere Pro timeline editing from assembly through picture lock.
After Effects motion graphics – titles, lower thirds, animated sequences, and full negative political ads created in AE.
Handle handoffs: starting projects I finish or picking up where I left off; flexibility and clear communication are essential.
Collaborate closely with me to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications
Solid in both Premiere and After Effects – not just one or the other.
Political ad experience is a big plus; if you’ve cut spots before, mention it in your reel.
Organized and tidy with project files – makes everyone’s life easier.
Good asynchronous communicator – remote work requires staying in touch.
A reel that showcases work you actually did; mixed credits are fine, just indicate which parts were yours.
Experience with LucidLink or other cloud storage systems is a plus.
Compensation Rate: $40-60/hr depending on experience and type of work.
Engagement: Hourly, project‑by‑project. No retainer or long‑term commitment required – just good work and good vibes. If it’s a great fit, there’s plenty of work through November.
