
Content & Social Media Manager

About the Role:
The Content & Social Media Manager is a strategic and creative marketing leader responsible for shaping the company’s social media narrative and ensuring a consistent brand identity across all channels. This role bridges high-level brand strategy with day‑to‑day content execution, with a strong emphasis on social media leadership, content production, coordination across multiple store locations, and cross‑functional teams. This position will own the brand voice for social media for both a national and local level—developing a compelling, cohesive presence while empowering stores to contribute authentic, community‑driven content.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Brand Strategy & Narrative
Develop and maintain a cohesive brand narrative, tone of voice, and content strategy aligned with business goals.
Develop social media brand guidelines (visual identity, messaging frameworks, and storytelling standards).
Act as the brand steward, ensuring integration and consistency across all digital and physical touchpoints.
Collaborate with brand partners on content covering product launches, event activations, and community involvement.
Lead an omnichannel social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms).
Oversee the creation of engaging, “social‑first” content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, Video, and blog content).
Identify and leverage emerging trends, acting as the brand’s cultural and digital pulse.
Collaborate with paid media teams to align organic and paid social strategies for maximum impact.
Share relevant content with HR team to incorporate it into employee communications and platforms.
Manage community engagement, ensuring timely and on‑brand responses.
3. Regional & Store‑Level Coordination
Develop Store Content Toolkits to guide local teams in creating high‑quality, on‑brand content.
Build and manage workflows for store content submission and approval.
Identify and execute local opportunities (events, partnerships, promotions).
Train store teams on social media best practices, mobile content creation, and community engagement.
Act as the key liaison between corporate marketing and store‑level teams.
Partner with the marketing team on content production across formats including blogs, videos, campaigns, and public relations.
Partner in the management of editorial calendars, deadlines, and content pipelines.
Ensure all content is optimized for SEO and discoverability.
5. Performance Analysis & Optimization
Track and analyze KPIs including engagement, traffic, conversions, and content performance.
Evaluate performance at both national and local levels to identify scalable insights.
Continuously refine content and social strategies based on data.
6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with design, marketing, merchandising, and store teams to align content with launches and business priorities.
Partner with HR to create compelling content for seasonal hiring and to help position Christy Sports as a preferred employer in our regions.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
Ensure alignment with store leadership on store level participation, process and approvals.
Required Skills & Experience:
4–6+ years in brand management, content strategy, or social media leadership.
Proven experience managing multi‑location or product category content strategies.
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
Expertise with short‑form video, social content creation, and platform algorithms.
Proficiency with social media platforms, including posting, responding, and reporting.
Experience working with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and design tools (Adobe, Canva).
Knowledge of SEO and digital content optimization.
Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
Passion and experience in the ski and snowboard industry is a plus.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Certifications in content marketing or social media (e.g., HubSpot, Google) are a plus.

Budgeted range starts at: $80,000-$95,000/Annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
