ABOUT THE ROLE This is a senior, high‑visibility enterprise architecture role at the intersection of technology strategy and operational transformation in the Oil & Gas sector. As Enterprise Architect for Data & AI Transformation, you will serve as the most senior technical voice and strategic advisor across all Oil & Gas brands, business units, and asset classes—from upstream exploration and production through midstream, downstream, and energy‑transition initiatives. You will operate at the executive level, engaging with C‑suite leaders, senior stakeholders, and technical teams, translating complex technical strategy into boardroom‑ready narratives, and working closely with solution architects, data engineers, and field operations specialists on system design. You will lead across a partner ecosystem that includes Global System Integrators and technology vendors while maintaining clarity of architecture vision and accountability for outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the enterprise architecture authority across all Oil & Gas brands and business units, ensuring coherent, integrated, and forward‑looking architecture strategy.

Navigate the distinct technical complexity and operational constraints of upstream, midstream, downstream, and energy‑transition activities, designing architecture frameworks that meet safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity requirements.

Bridge enterprise IT strategy with operational technology (OT) environments, including SCADA systems, historian data platforms, and edge‑computing solutions.

Define and own the enterprise‑level data and AI architecture, including data platform design, AI/ML model deployment patterns, data governance, and the integration of operational and enterprise data at scale.

Convert business requirements and priorities into actionable technical specifications, solution designs, and investment‑ready business cases.

Design and lead proof‑of‑concept and prototype engagements that demonstrate tangible business value rapidly.

Apply expertise across one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to architect scalable, resilient, and secure solutions for O&G operations.

Engage directly with CxO‑level stakeholders to shape technology strategy, secure executive sponsorship, and align architecture decisions with business value.

Present complex architectural strategies and transformation roadmaps in an executive manner.

Work collaboratively with clients' IT managers and development teams to assess existing infrastructure and deliver pragmatic transformation recommendations.

Lead and orchestrate across a partner ecosystem, establishing architectural guardrails, managing technical interdependencies, and ensuring coherent outcomes across multi‑party delivery environments.

Apply agile development methodologies and architecture frameworks to deliver iterative, high‑quality solutions while maintaining long‑term architectural integrity.

Drive pace, momentum, and continuous improvement across architecture and delivery teams.

Identify risks and blockers early, communicate them clearly, and drive resolution with a bias toward action.

REQUIRED EDUCATION Associate's Degree or College Diploma.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Significant enterprise architecture experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with exposure to multiple parts of the value chain.

Deep expertise in Data & AI architecture, including data platform design, AI/ML deployment at scale, data governance, and the integration of enterprise and operational data.

Proven track record of engaging at C‑suite and board level, presenting architecture strategy and transformation investment cases with executive credibility.

Experience working with Global System Integrators such as IBM Consulting, Accenture, Deloitte, or equivalent.

Hands‑on experience with one or more major cloud platforms and a strong understanding of hybrid and multi‑cloud architecture in industrial environments.

Exceptional communication skills—written and verbal—accommodating audiences from field technologists to global executive leaders.

Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a proactive learning mindset.

Strong personal drive and sense of urgency, taking ownership and inspiring others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Customized experiential selling experience, focusing on hands‑on practice.

Knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to articulate ROI.

Experience in driving technical direction and providing input to product teams.

Additional experience in Automation, Data, or zStack platforms and designing viable client solutions.
