
Marketing Events Manager

This full‑time, remote Marketing Events Manager will manage EarthDailyAnalytics (EDA)’s global events program, including trade shows, conferences, corporate‑sponsored events, webinars, and virtual experiences. The role is based in Vancouver, BC or Minneapolis, MN (hybrid or remote).
Key Responsibilities Event Strategy & Planning
Develop and manage the annual events calendar, aligning investments with pipeline goals, brand messaging, core value propositions, and go‑to‑market priorities.
Ensure all events support brand awareness, recognition, and sales activity outcomes.
Define event objectives, target audiences, KPIs, and budget requirements; present plans to marketing leadership for approval.
Research and evaluate new event opportunities—including industry conferences, trade shows, corporate‑sponsored events, and digital/virtual programs—to identify those with the highest strategic value across verticals.
Partner with Sales and Line of Business leaders to integrate events into broader campaign strategies and regional go‑to‑market plans.
Event Execution & Logistics
Own end‑to‑end logistics for all events, including venue sourcing, vendor management, booth design and production, AV coordination, catering, staffing, travel, and on‑site management.
Manage relationships with external event organizers, exhibit houses, and production vendors to ensure quality delivery within budget and timelines.
Develop and maintain detailed event project plans, run‑of‑show documents, and post‑event checklists.
Oversee the design and production of event materials including booth displays, signage, branded collateral, and swag.
Coordinate speaker submissions, sponsorship deliverables, and content requirements for third‑party conferences and trade shows.
Demand Generation & Pipeline Support
Partner with Sales and Line of Business teams to design pre‑event, at‑event, and post‑event engagement programs that drive qualified lead capture and pipeline generation.
Manage event registration and attendee communications, including invitation campaigns, confirmation workflows, and follow‑up sequences in HubSpot.
Ensure all leads captured at events are properly tagged, routed, and handed off to the appropriate sales teams with the necessary context for timely follow‑up.
Track event‑attributed pipeline and revenue contribution and report results to marketing and sales leadership.
Hosted Events & Customer Experiences
Plan and execute EarthDaily‑hosted events including customer roundtables, executive briefings, partner summits, corporate‑hosted experiences, and regional field events.
Design attendee experiences that reflect EarthDaily’s brand positioning and reinforce relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
Manage webinar and virtual event production, including platform setup, speaker preparation, live facilitation, and post‑event content distribution.
Partnerships, Awards and Memberships
Manage the portfolio of strategic event partnerships, sponsorships, and industry memberships to maximize brand visibility and market positioning.
Identify and pursue relevant awards opportunities that enhance credibility, recognition, and thought leadership.
Ensure consistent alignment between partnerships, memberships, and EarthDaily’s brand and messaging strategy.
Budget & Performance Management
Own the events budget, tracking all expenditures and ensuring cost‑effective use of resources across the program.
Conduct post‑event performance reviews, measuring outcomes against defined KPIs including attendance, lead volume, pipeline influence, engagement rates, brand impact, and ROI.
Maintain an events performance dashboard and provide regular reporting on program results and recommendations for optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
3–5 years of progressive experience in B2B event management or marketing, preferably in a technology, SaaS, or data/analytics company.
Demonstrated experience managing the full event lifecycle from strategy through execution and measurement for both physical and virtual events.
Experience managing trade show programs and third‑party conference sponsorships, including booth production and logistics.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent events and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience working with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot preferred) for lead capture and follow‑up workflows.
Experience with virtual event platforms (e.g., ON24, Hopin, Zoom Webinars) – an asset.
Experience in geospatial, Earth Observation, or related deep‑tech markets – an asset.
Skills & Abilities
Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex, multi‑workstream projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with event management and marketing tools including HubSpot, Salesforce (or equivalent CRM), and event registration platforms.
Solid understanding of B2B demand generation principles and the role events play in the marketing and sales funnel.
Excellent vendor negotiation and relationship management skills, with the ability to deliver quality outcomes within budget constraints.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling event copy and speaker briefs.
Data‑driven mindset with the ability to define event KPIs, analyze performance data, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Ability to work collaboratively across Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to align event programming with broader business goals.
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make sound decisions independently in a dynamic, high‑growth environment.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%) for team meetings and corporate events.
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary Range: $90,000–$120,000 CAD annually / $66,000–$88,000 USD annually (Vancouver‑derived).
