Residential Property Manager
with
affordable housing experience
to oversee a residential community located in Triangle, Virginia. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional who understands the operational, compliance, and resident service requirements of affordable housing. The Residential Property Manager will manage daily property operations while serving as a strong, solutions-oriented presence for residents, staff, vendors, and ownership. Oversee the day-to-day operations of two properties, ensuring compliance with affordable housing program requirements. Manage resident relations, including communication, issue resolution, and maintaining a positive community environment. Supervise, train, and support onsite staff. Ensure compliance with all applicable affordable housing regulations, company policies, and local/state requirements. Manage leasing and lease administration, including applications, certifications, renewals, and move-ins/move-outs. Coordinate maintenance operations and ensure timely completion of work orders and preventative maintenance. Maintain accurate property records, reports, and documentation. Build strong relationships with vendors, ownership, and internal teams. Be available to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed. You are a dependable and proactive property management professional who understands affordable housing operations and compliance. You balance attention to detail with excellent resident service and take pride in maintaining well‑run communities. You work well independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Minimum
3–5 years
of
residential property management
experience. Affordable housing property management
experience required. Familiarity with property management software
(Yardi preferred). Experience with compliance programs such as
LIHTC, HUD,
or
other affordable
housing programs preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Service-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused. Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Other Requirements
Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing, along with bodily injury insurance coverage of at least $100,000, is required for this position.
