Overview

The University of Alaska Anchorage is looking for a Graphic Designer to work within the University Advancement team. Be part of a dynamic team that helps promote the University and its students and programs. Create large and small scale projects that highlight UAA's position as a dual mission university, serving the community and students in their education journey. The Graphic Designer will be part of the design team within University Marketing and Communications (UMAC) under the Office of Advancement. The designer will develop and deliver publications and visual materials and will work closely with the entire Advancement department and executive leadership to ensure adherence to the UAA brand. Responsibilities

Develop and deliver publications and visual materials for University Advancement. Collaborate with the Advancement department and executive leadership to ensure adherence to the UAA brand. Support the design needs of University Marketing and Communications within UMAC. Create both large- and small-scale projects that highlight UAA's dual mission. Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in graphic design or production, or equivalent years of professional experience. High level of proficiency with design programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Photoshop; experience with Google programs. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet strict deadlines. Position Details

Location: University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. Employment: Full-time, exempt staff position with competitive salary and a full employee benefits package. Compensation: UA provides a generous package including retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable health coverage. New hires are placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience. Application Process
