Copywriter & Social Content Intern (Brand Storyteller) Advanced Network Devices (ANetD)

is a wholly owned subsidiary of DDC offering a comprehensive portfolio of PoE endpoints. We are the leader in the design and production of IP endpoint devices for mass notification systems. Our devices are installed throughout the US, and in international locales, within a wide range of facilities, in markets from education, healthcare, and government to corporate and industrial.

Position Summary We don’t believe in "filler" content, and we definitely don’t believe in "coffee-run" internships. We’re looking for a wordsmith who understands that every LinkedIn post, email subject line, and website header is an opportunity to tell a story that sticks. If you’re a junior, senior, or master's student obsessed with the power of a good hook and the impact of a clear CTA, we want you to help us build our voice from the ground up.

As our Brand Storytelling & Social Content Intern, you won’t just be "writing", you’ll be building a library of influence that makes you feel trusted and essential. Your goal is to take complex ideas and distill them into punchy, engaging, high-converting copy, empowering you to see your work as a key part of our brand’s growth. You’ll be the voice of our brand across LinkedIn, email, and our website, turning our company’s thought leadership into a digital magnet for our audience.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Narrative:

Draft compelling social posts (especially for LinkedIn) that stop the scroll and start conversations.

Campaign Creation:

Collaborate on marketing campaigns, writing everything from email sequences to landing page copy.

Simplify the Complex:

Take big, industry-leading ideas and translate them into short-form stories that anyone can understand.

Build the Playbook:

Help us create a reusable content library that will define our brand tone for years to come.

Platform Strategy:

Learn the nuances of how to adapt one message to work across three different platforms.

Qualifications

You’re a Student of the Craft: You’re a Junior, Senior, or Master’s student majoring in Advertising, Marketing, English, Journalism, or Communications who already understands the importance of brand storytelling in creating impactful content.

You Love the "Hook": You understand that the first sentence is the most important part of any post.

You’re a Tone‑Shifter: You can be professional and authoritative on LinkedIn, then punchy and urgent in an email.

You’re a Local: You’re ready to bring your energy to our Arlington Heights office every day and be part of a team that values your presence and contributions.

You See the Big Picture: You don’t just write words; you understand how they fit into a larger content strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

A "design eye" and experience in Canva.

Knowledge of SEO or social scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite).

Data curiosity; you like seeing which posts actually performed and why.
