The Disney Entertainment Television Programming Strategy and Content Planning team is responsible for planning and implementing the programming strategy for all of Disney’s entertainment networks (ABC & ABC News, Nat Geo branded nets, FX branded nets, Freeform & Disney branded nets), related linear and non‑linear platforms (TVE/VOD), Disney Branded and Nat Geo YouTube Channels, FAST channels, and all original content migration to Disney+ and Hulu.

The Executive Assistant role sits at the heart of the Disney Entertainment Programming Strategy teams — supporting the daily magic behind Disney Branded Television, Freeform, FX and FAST content strategy.

In this role, you’ll report to—and work side‑by‑side with—two VPs of Programming Strategy, helping them stay organized, informed, and ready for anything. The Executive Assistant manages both executive desks, inclusive of scheduling, expense processing, travel planning, and event coordination. We’re looking for someone who brings exceptional organization, great people skills, and a knack for juggling lots of moving pieces with creativity and ease.

In addition to supporting two primary leaders, this individual serves as a team‑wide resource, offering insight and support to the entire Programming Strategy group. The EA is also responsible for managing the collection and prompt distribution of weekly linear and multiplatform programming updates to key internal parties. In partnership with Research and other internal teams, the EA oversees recurring Competitive presentations, offering internal teams key industry insights.

Additionally, the EA assists in implementing nonlinear content strategy for YouTube. This includes creating metadata, ordering, editing, uploading short‑form video assets, screening content, creating thumbnails, and all other related duties. The EA updates internal databases and communicates all information and changes to key internal departments (Marketing, Publishing, Business Operations, Legal, etc.) and various external partners.

Responsibilities

Manage the administrative needs of two Executives.

Schedule meetings and maintain calendars.

Coordinate travel and process expense reports in Concur.

Create and maintain distribution lists.

Order office supplies through the Casual Buyer marketplace.

Process monthly invoices from external vendors/consultants in SAP.

Assist with departmental projects, including presentation development, reviewing internal materials, and research tasks.

Create and update decks and documents in Keynote and PowerPoint.

Gather presentation assets, including video and artwork assets, and organize files on Teams/SharePoint.

Facilitate team communications, support in‑person and virtual team events.

Provide general on‑site office support, including coordination with building staff for office moves, technology needs, and new hire setup.

Update, maintain and distribute programming documents for Kids, FF, FX and FAST.

Solicit and compile weekly linear and multiplatform performance updates across our channels and competitive networks.

Compile and distribute monthly acquisition review materials.

Assist with metadata writing and program data entry across various databases.

Organize project feedback and support database accuracy.

Order and track delivery of video assets.

Manage editing and uploading of content to YouTube channels.

Design tailored thumbnails for channel optimization.

Basic Qualifications

Strong passion for General Entertainment, with interest in Disney Networks content.

2+ years of Executive Assistant/Coordinator experience in a fast‑paced environment.

Excellent organizational skills, including prioritization, time management, attention to detail, and process implementation.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote) and ability to learn new tools (e.g., Concur, SAP, PIX, BOX).

Exercises the highest level of confidentiality, discretion, and judgment; escalates issues appropriately.

Event planning experience.

Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Self‑starter with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and pivot quickly.

Detail‑oriented, professional under pressure, and able to manage multiple projects at once.

Proactive, resourceful, flexible, and able to anticipate needs.

Positive, easy‑going approach when working with varied personalities and responsibilities.

Ability to form strong partnerships across teams.

Flexibility to work across time zones and occasional overtime.

Experience in a matrixed organization is a plus.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in a media‑related field or equivalent professional experience.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $54,000 to $72,400 per year based on a 40‑hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs.
