Engagement Manager Overview
Oliver Wyman’s Private Equity team is expanding in North America, partnering with private‑equity investors throughout the deal lifecycle—from opportunity identification and due diligence to post‑transaction value realization.
The Engagement Manager will work with both Private Equity and CMT clients to lead complex engagements, build the business, and develop the next generation of talent. Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day leadership for client projects and the commercial process, partnering with Associates and Consultants. Lead and manage complex programs to ensure on‑time delivery and achievement of agreed goals. Guide and influence clients, acting as a trusted advisor across all engagements. Identify new and expanded business opportunities for the firm. Create intellectual capital through thought leadership and deep industry expertise. Develop team members and establish a strong personal brand within and outside the firm. Oversee consulting team deliverables and support partners through project execution, including coaching junior staff. Desired Skills and Experience
4‑7 years of strategy consulting experience at a top‑tier firm. Track record of leading and managing teams in fast‑paced environments. Professional experience with commercial due diligence. Experience working with both CMT and Private Equity clients. Proficiency with customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups). Strong strategic problem‑solving and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities. Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program. Client‑management experience. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including internationally. Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $225 000 – $240 000, plus performance‑based incentives. The total rewards package includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401(k) savings, employee assistance programs, and other retirement benefits.
