
Employee Benefits Sales Representative

Location
We support US flexible working arrangements in the contiguous 48 states, but you must reside in the Greater Kansas City area.
Role Overview As an Employee Benefit Sales Representative, you represent our brand in the market. You will solve our clients' needs through consultative and solution-based selling and build relationships with contacts in your territory to identify, develop and negotiate sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sell employee benefits products through an established network of insurance brokers, third-party administrators and consultants.
Build and establish relationships with key sources to market our portfolio of products to some of the nation's top employers.
Construct and maintain a business plan for your designated territory based on sales and strategic initiatives.
Call on existing and potential customers to prospect new customers and develop a book of business.
Meet and exceed seasonal targets and personal sales goals.
Develop internal relationships with underwriters, distribution specialists and internal support partners to create specialized plans for clients.
Qualifications and Experience
More than one year of Group Benefit sales industry experience.
Currently licensed with required state Life and Health agent license.
Passion to succeed and challenge yourself while building a book of business.
Winning attitude and desire for a career offering professional growth and high income potential.
Drive, self-motivation, consultative nature and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with a diverse range of people.
Degree from a four-year college or university, or requisite work experience.
Strong networking and relationship management skills.
Excellent listening, presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
Compensation The annual base salary for this position is $50,000, plus the ability to earn variable incentive compensation through a sales incentive plan.
