For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $175,000 - $210,000 per year,
which includes base pay and short‑term incentive.
The compensation range for this full‑time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Description of the Digital Energy Software Business Digital Energy Software is a core business of the Energy Management Business of Schneider Electric, and focuses on the Operational software platform, IoT and analytics capabilities to enable better operation, optimization, management and control across Building and Power Management domains of multiple end‑markets and verticals, from small‑medium buildings up to Large and Mission‑critical Buildings and Infrastructure.
Description of the Strategy function The Strategy function encompasses these key main practices:
Group strategy cycle: contribute to the strategy review in the context of the Schneider Electric Group annual strategy cycle;
Mergers & Acquisitions files & Strategic Partnerships: identify acquisitions & divestments, assess strategic rationale for deals and their adequacy to the business strategy and the Schneider Group strategy, prepare investment memos for potential deals to be approved by the Group Acquisition Committee, support commercial due diligence efforts;
Strategic Intelligence: bring an outside‑in view by analyzing competition, market sizes, market shares, and managing the Annual Market Review process;
Quarterly support: support the R&D strategy roadmap, support the quarterly business review preparation for the performance review with senior stakeholders;
Ad‑hoc projects: deliver strategy projects on transversal topics.
The role reports directly to the Vice President of Strategy within Digital Energy Software business, which is part of EM Software and Services Division.
Description of the role & responsibilities of the Strategy Manager The Strategy Manager is a key business role which partners with League Leaders and Commercial functions and has a global remit. The Strategy Manager will be primarily dedicated to developing key strategy tech partnerships for cross‑platforms integrations, Go‑to‑market expansion, co‑innovation or tech adjacencies partnerships / investments as an extension of organic efforts. The partnerships could also be a vehicle for future M&A deals for the DE SW core business. The role is exposed to multiple stakeholders across the organization.
Main responsibilities include:
Work with the Vice President of Strategy as well as the rest of the strategy team to develop key strategic partnerships with an end‑to‑end approach (targeting and screening the market, partnership scoping, tech discovery, MoU / agreement, partnership’s project coordination and PMO for project execution, follow‑up)
Act as a key content lead and project lead for strategy studies
Own key strategic transformation projects / initiatives
Requirements for the role
Good business acumen and judgment with a strong knowledge of the tech and market served
Strong organization and project management skills; structured way of working; ability to work under time pressure; Good attention to details:
Prior experience in Software Partnerships, Offer Management and PMO role a plus
Strong analytical skills: ability to screen and quickly absorb information on various topics from multiple sources and synthesize it to make meaningful recommendations
Quantitative; comfortable working with numbers, building models and quantitative analyses
Financially literate: able to review and interpret financial statements / reports
Fast learning capacity and curiosity for learning about Schneider Electric Digital Energy businesses across Power, Grid, Building, and those of competitors, new business models and disruptors
Resourceful, tenacious and self‑starter attitude, interest to roll‑up one sleeves and get things done
Good interpersonal skills
Open‑mindness, actively listens to others, understands and values others' views

Candidates qualifications
Work experience: 8+ years of total previous work experience in Edge Control and Supervisory Software industry, in B2B software, IoT, building management systems, power management systems, industrial software, or digital platforms.
Previous leadership roles including any (or multiple) of the following:
Strategy or management consulting experience
Offer Management or Solution Architects experience
M&A and/or Partnerships management
Previous experience in private equity or other financial investors is a plus
Education: strong educational background in economics or engineering
Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English; Any other language is a plus
Other: excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills, and presentation writing skills, experience in project management tools a plus
