
Proposal Manager

Position Description
The Proposal Manager is responsible for the commercial management of battery energy storage system (BESS) proposals presented by customers daily. The role collaborates with application engineering, business development, procurement, and other specialized services to ensure proposals comply with each customer’s Request for Proposal (RFP) guidelines while aligning with company strategy. The Proposal Manager oversees pricing, commercial questions, documentation, and maintains sales team communications.

Senior Proposal Manager and designated senior management.
Major Job Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and support development of integrated, enterprise-wide sales proposals and initiatives.
Oversee drafting and document preparation of Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and Requests for Proposals (RFP) including proposals and qualification packages.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet customer‑designated bid dates.
Collaborate and lead engagements with business development and application engineering teams to produce proposals to clients.
Coordinate development and production of materials with technical staff for proposal and executive report presentations.
Strategize and document proposals and pipeline in Salesforce.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
3–5 years of proposal management or related experience.
Strong written and editorial skills.
Excellent communication and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
Knowledge of BESS, Energy, or related field is a plus.
Ability to work non‑traditional hours to meet deadlines.
Temporary role with potential permanent conversion based on performance and business needs.
