This position is responsible for assisting the Marketing Communications team in creating and implementing communication strategies across multiple channels. The primary focus will be on developing a corporate communication strategy and drafting and editing press releases, newsletters, social media posts, and other content to support those initiatives.

At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will have a clear understanding of how their studies directly contribute to their course of study and/or the corporate communications field.

This is a part-time summer internship position (less than 30 hrs a week), working with the Marketing Communications team at Kestra.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Project:

Over the course of their internship, the Corporate Communications intern will work on a culminating project focused on Kestra's corporate communication strategy. They will research industry trends and analyze past company communications, including organic social media and press releases, to create reports on current communication initiatives. These reports will help guide the development of a corporate communication calendar.

Assisting in the development and execution of communication campaigns across various channels, including social media, website, press releases, newsletters, and events.

Partnering with People Operations team to develop social media strategy to support Kestra’s recruiting efforts and encourage employee referrals and company reviews.

Creating weekly media monitoring and reputation management reports to provide insights into Kestra’s online perceptions and identify areas for improvement and strategic action.

Conducting research and analysis to gather insights on industry trends, competitor activities, and media coverage.

Drafting and editing communication materials such as press releases, newsletters, and social media posts.

Support event coordination and communication strategy, including tradeshows and corporate meetings.

Project Presentation : Present internship project results and findings to the Marketing team and Kestra executive leadership at the conclusion of the internship.

QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience Required

2nd year or higher undergraduate in a business degree

Strong desire to learn along with professional drive

Strong organizational and project management skills

Basic understanding of different marketing techniques

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Working knowledge of MS Office

Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices

Preferred

Experience with the Adobe Suite, Google Analytics

Understanding of content management systems (WordPress, Wix, Weebly etc.)

Familiarity with marketing automation software like Hubspot

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Indoor open office environment

Minimal noise volume typical to an office environment

Extended/overtime hours when needed

INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY

Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months

Must not have completed one year of continual employment with Kestra Medical Technologies

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Must provide own transportation to/from work

Must successfully complete and pass a criminal and employment background screening that meets the allowable FDA requirements and is in accordance with EEOC rules and regulations

Must successfully pass a pre-internship drug screen

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as keyboard and mouse usage

Frequent stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time

Frequent computers use

Frequent phone and other business machine use

Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds

TRAVEL

Occasional travel, domestic and international, may be required, less than 10%

Pay: $25.00/hour
