Trade Compliance Specialist Communication Systems (Defense)
This role sits at the core of export compliance for advanced defense communication systems. You'll be trusted with protecting export-controlled hardware, software, and technical data while enabling business to move forward compliantly. What you'll do: Perform ITAR and EAR jurisdiction and classification reviews Determine and document export and customs classifications (HTS, Schedule B) Support licensing and agreement applications Review and approve technical data transfers and public domain releases Implement U.S. export compliance policies and provide guidance to stakeholders Support trade compliance audits and deliver compliance training Identify risks, improve processes, and manage multiple priorities effectively What you bring: Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience Strong working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and U.S. Customs regulations Clear communication skills and strong organizational discipline Preferred experience: Tactical radios, software-defined radio, or technical data environments Software or engineering background EAR Cat 5 Part 2, LO/CLO, Anti-Tamper exposure OCR EASE, Agile PDM, or active U.S. security clearance A focused, high-impact compliance role supporting mission-critical defense systems.
