Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center is seeking a full-time RN MDS Director to join our dynamic care team. As the MDS Director, you will plan, organize, and direct the MDS process, overseeing resident care plans through clinical assessment, review of residents' medical history, personal interviews, and completion of MDS reports. Experience & Education

Must possess a minimum of a nursing program. Must possess a current and unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts. Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate the MDS process. Oversee ADL training for the facility and staff. Issue and deliver denial notices timely and appropriately. Complete and transmit all CMS approved item sets (MDS). Be knowledgeable of and follow current CMS regulatory guidelines as described in RAI Manual. Comply with facility privacy policies and procedures and protect residents' individual health information. Maintain Medicare meeting minutes per Medicare program agreement. Issue and deliver Medicare denial letters per CMS regulations. Ensure appropriate management of residents' Medicare/Insurance benefits. Maintain adequate systems to ensure appropriate documents support billed services. Perform other duties assigned by manager. Specific Requirements

Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such an action. Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Co‑ordinate MDS systems, resident assessment, and care plans for each resident timely. Be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long‑term care. Possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non‑professional personnel. Have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Be willing to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing nursing practices. Communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations. Possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills to ensure standards of nursing practice. Benefits
