Summary
The Senior Solutions Consultant within the commercial (BD) Flex team is a senior, high‑impact role operating at the intersection of Sales, Product and Market Strategy. The role combines deep client‑facing solution consulting with strong market and regulatory understanding, ensuring that our offerings are positioned credibly, competitively, and with a clear path to value for customers. This role operates as a trusted liaison between sales and product.
Focus areas
Deep Solutions Consulting : Lead deep engagement with a small number of high‑value prospects. Own extended discovery phases, understand the client’s commercial, regulatory and technical context, and help deliver the value proposition. The Senior Solutions Consultant will act in complete alignment with sales and regulatory to ensure alignment.
Product Demos : Conduct demos to show potential customers the platform in depth, helping them understand the benefits of the Kraken platform. These demos occur throughout the sales process, from pre‑sales setting up the value proposition to the closing process, demonstrating how Flex will work within the use case for the utility client.
Flex Market & Value Expertise : Act as the internal and external reference point for the NA energy market, flexibility, and VPP‑related topics relevant to Flex. This position supports product, commercial strategy and product marketing decisions and represents Kraken externally through thought leadership.
Experience in energy flexibility (DER, demand response, VPPs) : Ability to translate market mechanisms and use cases into client‑facing solutions.

Responsibilities The responsibility matrix below outlines the key functions of the Senior Solutions Consultant and may be extended based on need and expertise of the hire. Levels of responsibility are defined as follows:
Lead : Full ownership of the task, driving execution in alignment with—or under the supervision of sales lead and leadership team.
Contribute : Active contribution to the task under the guidance of the designated task owner.
Support: Participation and representation of the Flex commercial team (interest), with contributions as required.
Salary: $145,000 – $175,000 per year.
