Job Summary The Center for Translation Studies at The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to apply for the position of Associate Director of the Center. The ideal candidate will have expertise in translation studies, digital translation practices, the history of translation studies, and editorial experience. In addition, the candidate should be guided by “vordenken”: thinking toward the future.
The Center for Translation Studies was founded in 1978, when the field of translation studies was in its infancy and even the idea of literary translation was still met with much resistance of faculty members of other disciplines within the humanities.
