Key Responsibilities
Respond to scenario questions from Loan Officers and processors Review and decision credit, income, asset, and property documentation for compliance and investor guidelines Recommend alternative loan structures and communicate findings to relevant parties
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School diploma or equivalent Five or more years of mortgage underwriting experience Current experience underwriting VA mortgage loans Direct Endorsement (DE) and/or LAPP/SAR certifications preferred Superior knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA underwriting requirements
