ABOUT US:
Founded in 1993, Bayview Asset Management is an investment management firm focused on investments in mortgage and consumer credit, including whole loans, asset-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, and other credit-related assets.
POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the analysis and structuring of investment opportunities within the securitized products space. This individual will play a key role in evaluating complex transactions, developing cash flow models, and partnering with portfolio management teams to drive investment decisions across the capital structure. The role requires deep familiarity with securitized products, strong quantitative and technical capabilities, and the ability to operate independently while contributing to broader investment strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support senior investment professionals in analyzing and executing securitized products investments spanning the full capital structure. Examples include:
RMBS: CRT, Non-QM, RPL/NPL, HELOCs, and others
ABS: consumer, auto, student loans, and others
US and European asset classes
Conduct underwriting tasks, including performing cash flow analysis and reviewing capital structures of potential investment opportunities.
Build and maintain detailed cash flow models in Intex and Excel.
Utilize experience with rating agencies' websites and models to efficiently find and source credit reports, peer analysis, methodologies, and related documents.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Partner with Portfolio Management teams across asset classes
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Ability to work independently as well as be a thought leader for others.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work through changing priorities and requirements.
Ability to create effective partnerships with diverse roles and positions throughout the organization.
Excellent analytical skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of securitized products experience from a buyside, sell-side, or consulting firm, in either a valuations or structuring capacity.
Minimum of 2 years of advanced Intex Dealmaker experience, including building and analyzing complex cash flow models across RMBS, ABS, and related securitized products.
Bachelor's degree in finance, math, or another quantitative field with a high GPA from a top-rated institution
Compensation and location:
This is an onsite role and will be based in Bayview’s New York or Denver office.
Base compensation is expected to be $140,000-$225,000 with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus and deferred compensation.
