Job Objective The Senior Director Accounting & Controlling is an integral member of the Finance function providing overall leadership and management of the accounting and controlling function for LVMH Inc. The main responsibilities include managing the close, budget and forecast processes, supporting M&A activity, ensuring strong internal control procedures, implementing new accounting technology, and leading a team of 6 professionals.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the monthly & quarterly close, budget & forecasts, and strategic plan for 56 legal entities (holdings, real estate, and investments)
Provide accurate, detailed, and relevant reporting and analysis on Financial Income / Expense, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
Analyze, propose, and negotiate rent structure for affiliate office and retail locations owned by LVMH Inc.
Analyze the equity rolls of all US entities to determine the potential dividend distributions and /or potential restructuring
Act as main coordination point with Paris headquarters’ consolidation team to ensure proper accounting procedures
Work closely with the LVMH Inc. SVP Tax and VP Treasury to manage North America M&A and restructuring projects
Implement ad hoc accounting and reporting frameworks for specific strategic operations such as reorganizations, disposal of companies and acquisition of new businesses and properties
Maintain strong relationships with external M&A and real estate advisors
Partner with Risk Management and Ethics & Compliance to ensure strong internal control environment
Provide strong leadership to a team of 6 professionals
Continuously optimize processes and implement new technology to gain efficiency, control, and reliability
Build strong relationships and provide accounting advice and support to the LVMH brand Finance teams within the region
Profile – Principal Skills, Knowledge, and Personal Attributes Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business, CPA preferred
Minimum 12 - 15 years accounting experience required
Deep knowledge of IFRS accounting
Experience with SAP 4 Hana preferred
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work in matrix and diverse environment
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong leadership and team management skills
Good communications and interpersonal skills
Strong team player
High integrity, motivated and driven
Ability to work in fast-paced environment with short deadlines
Experience in retail, wholesale or luxury fashion a plus
Knowledge of the French language a plus
