
Principal Cybersecurity - Cloud Security Strategy

Summary of Work
Design security features and capabilities for the AT&T Chief Security Office leveraging modern cloud technologies. Work activities will include new and enhancing feature design through implementation of cloud-based security orchestration and automation functions following Agile methodologies. Scope of work will include solution discovery, security technology evaluations, product engineering, configuration and development designs. Some of the cloud security feature categories in scope include Continuous Compliance Inspection, Automated Remediation, AI Security, Security Analytics, and Policy Orchestration.
Required Skills Self-starter, able to work autonomously, natural problem solver, collaborative, creative, and not fazed by adversity or ambiguity. Should have strong hands‑on problem‑solving skills, excellent communication skills, a deep technical understanding of modern cloud services such as AWS, Azure and GCP, and the desire to be a lead contributor to building AT&T’s next generation security platforms.
Full Stack Developer – Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, Python, Angular, YAM
Development experience working in AWS, Azure or GCP clouds (API’s, SDK’s, PowerShell, CLI, etc.)
Hands‑on experience with one or more public clouds: AWS, Azure or GCP cloud services (Serverless, Container, Compute, Messaging, Queueing, Database, Storage, Logging, etc.)
Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise‑scale software development
Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
Familiarity with applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) techniques in cybersecurity contexts (e.g., anomaly detection, threat hunting, behavioral analytics, or risk scoring).
Desired Skills
AWS or Azure Certification in Architecture, Developer, DevOps, or Security
Experience building and operating scalable infrastructure software or microservices
Understanding of systems engineering and architecture, including the inputs, outputs, requirements and dependencies of complex systems
Knowledge of Machine Learning / AI fundamentals
Familiar with building secure software using modern security principles
Experience with the following areas: cryptography, web and network protocols, data structures and algorithms and vulnerability assessments
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment.
Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science or Cybersecurity. 7+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
