Responsibilities
Set and lead global narrative, PR, and communications strategy for the Bethesda brand, portfolio of games, and senior leaders
Translate company and leadership strategy into durable communications frameworks executed globally
Lead internal communications in partnership with executive leadership and internal comms partners
Own brand reputation management, including crisis, labor, and proactive reputation communications
Serve as a trusted communications advisor to executives for media moments and high-visibility events
Partner cross-functionally with Publishing, Development, Marketing, and Xbox stakeholders
Build, lead, and scale a global PR organization focused on impact, clarity, and accountability
Oversee AAA communications campaigns across multiple titles and global markets
Direct PR planning aligned with Marketing, Community, Events, and Xbox strategies
Lead annual planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and agency partnerships
Own external relationships with agencies, media, creators, and analysts
Measure campaign effectiveness and continuously optimize strategy and execution
This role will sit on both the Bethesda and the Gaming communications leadership team
Qualifications
15+ years of progressive experience in public relations and communications, including senior leadership roles within a global, matrixed organization
7+ years leading and developing global PR teams with direct people management responsibility
Proven success leading large scale, global communications strategies across multiple brands or products, with direct experience advising senior executives
Trade show and product demonstration leadership in partnership with Global Marketing, including narrative, demos, and staffing
Demonstrated ownership of global, multi-brand or multi-product communications strategies, including executive counsel, cross org influence and reputation management
In depth expertise leading large-scale communications campaigns, including agency oversight and budget responsibility
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
Experience in the video game, entertainment, media, or technology industries
Established global media relationships across mainstream and digital platforms
Exec level writing skills and the ability to articulate concepts, messages and strategies
Familiarity with Bethesda franchises and player communities
Salary Range POSITION TITLE
- The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between
$250,000 - $375,000 per year.
ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
