Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Event Marketing professional
to join our Asset Management team. This role is central to planning and executing high-impact proprietary events and sponsorships across all asset classes, enhancing our brand, deepening client engagement, and supporting business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in financial services, exceptional organizational skills, forward-looking thinking, and the ability to manage complex projects and senior stakeholders with polish and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Insight-Driven Event Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive event and sponsorship programs aligned with asset management business goals, market trends, and target audience needs.
End-to-End Execution:
Drive planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse portfolio of events, including large conferences, intimate roundtable events, client receptions and industry sponsorships, from concept to post-event analysis.
Client Experience & Engagement:
Own the end-to-end client experience at every touchpoint, ensuring each event delivers a seamless, elevated, and memorable experience that reflects the firm’s commitment to its clients.
Stakeholder Management:
Build strong relationships and effectively manage expectations with internal senior leaders (e.g., Partners, Portfolio Managers, Sales Heads) and external partners (e.g., vendors, conference organizers, media).
Budget Management:
Oversee event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing ROI for all initiatives.
Vendor Negotiation:
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure optimal terms and services.
Content Collaboration:
Partner with marketing, sales, and investment teams to develop compelling event content, speaker prep, and promotional materials.
Performance Measurement:
Track, analyze, and report on event performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Brand Representation:
Ensure all events and sponsorships consistently reflect the firm's brand identity and high standards.
Self-Directed Project Management:
Independently manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong initiative, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
5-8 years ofexperience in event marketing; financial services or asset management industry preferred
Demonstrated success inleading and executing complex proprietary events and sponsorships.
Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to interact confidently and effectively with very senior internal and external stakeholders.
Keen attention to detail.
Strong project management skills
with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Genuine passion for client experience
— a natural instinct for anticipating client needs and elevating every interaction
A self-starter with a proactive approach, capable of working autonomously and taking ownership of initiatives.
Proficiency in event management software and CRM systems is a plus.
Willingness to travel as required for events.

Salary Range The expected base salary for this Chicago, Illinois, United States-based position is $110000-$230000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
