
Director of Enrollment

Position Overview
Director of Enrollment is responsible for leading all aspects of student recruitment, admissions, and retention for The Westmont Montessori School. Located in a nurturing and child‑centered environment, our school is dedicated to fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. This role serves as the primary ambassador for the school, guiding prospective families through the admissions process while ensuring alignment with Montessori philosophy and the school’s mission. Westmont is looking for a proactive partner with an “all hands on deck” community‑oriented spirit. Our current enrollment is strong and stable and the next director will be asked to look at new ways for this to continue and grow.
Key Responsibilities: Admissions, Recruitment, and Retention
Develop and implement a strategic enrollment plan to meet annual enrollment goals
Manage the full admissions process from inquiry through enrollment including all summer programming
Lead tours, open houses, and parent information sessions
Lead retention initiatives and re‑enrollment events
Build strong relationships with prospective families and serve as their main point of contact
Maintain timely, warm, and informative communication with all inquiries
Marketing & Outreach
Collaborate with Head of School to oversee efforts to promote the school
Manage digital presence including website content, social media, and online listings
Develop partnerships with local organizations, feeder programs, and community groups
Represent the school at community events
Retention & Family Engagement
Support onboarding of families to ensure a smooth transition
Partner with faculty and administration to foster and maintain strong family relationships
Maintain contact with alumni families and manage alumni events
Monitor enrollment trends and retention data
Data & Operations
Maintain accurate records of inquiries, applications, and enrollment data
Analyze data to inform recruitment strategies and improve conversion rates
Prepare enrollment reports and projections
Work with the Finance Director to prepare annual enrollment goals, implementation of tuition assistance and scholarships
Collaboration
Work closely with Head of School, faculty, and administrative staff
Prepare monthly written reports for the Board of Trustees
Align enrollment messaging with Montessori philosophy and classroom practices

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred)
3–5+ years of experience in admissions, enrollment, or marketing (independent school experience preferred)
Familiarity with Montessori education strongly preferred
Must be available to work during the summer
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational and data management skills
Ability to build relationships with diverse families
