A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative 1.
Key Responsibilities
Bill, process adjustments, and collect on accounts to ensure timely payment Perform proactive follow-up with third parties to secure payments and resolve account issues Analyze accounts for coordination of benefits and ensure compliance with billing regulations
Required Qualifications
Two years of recent experience in billing or collecting healthcare accounts; or four years of general collection, billing, or customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) required within 18 months of hire Recent experience in medical collection and/or Medicare billing preferred Familiarity with billing Hospital claims or UB-04 claims Knowledge of managed care contracts and coding systems (DRG, CPT, HCPC, ICD-10) is advantageous
