What You'll Do
Program Leadership & Strategy
Define and articulate QXO’s long‑term transportation safety vision and strategic priorities, aligned with corporate objectives and growth plans.
Serve as the enterprise authority on transportation safety, advising executive leadership on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
Establish governance frameworks and global standards for transportation safety across all business units.
Lead the design and execution of QXO’s Transportation Safety Program, ensuring consistency and scalability across diverse operations.
Drive compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, Transport Canada/National Safety Code and international transportation safety regulations, proactively anticipating changes and positioning QXO as an industry leader.
Oversee critical safety programs including driver qualification, collision mitigation, telematics, and advanced vehicle safety technologies.
Innovation & Technology Enablement
Champion the adoption of cutting‑edge safety technologies (e.g., AI‑based monitoring, predictive analytics, telematics) to enhance visibility and performance.
Leverage data analytics to identify systemic risks, predict trends, and inform strategic interventions that deliver measurable improvements.
Training, Culture & Leadership
Inspire a culture of safety through executive engagement, communication, and recognition programs that reinforce safe behaviors.
Partner with Learning & Development to create advanced training programs for leaders and drivers, embedding safety into operational DNA.
Mentor and develop a high‑performing team of transportation safety professionals.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Define and monitor enterprise‑level KPIs and OKRs for transportation safety, reporting progress to senior leadership as required.
Benchmark QXO against industry leaders and drive continuous improvement through innovation and best practice adoption.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Transportation, Logistics, or related field; advanced degree strongly preferred.
12+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation safety or fleet risk management, including enterprise‑level program ownership.
Proven ability to set strategic direction and influence executive stakeholders.
Deep expertise in DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, Transport Canada/National Safety Code (NSC) and global transportation safety regulations.
Strong business acumen with experience integrating safety strategy into operational and financial objectives.
Demonstrated success leveraging technology and analytics to improve safety outcomes.
Preferred
Professional certifications (CSP, CIH, or equivalent).
Experience in large‑scale, multi‑site operations and M&A integration.
Proficiency with advanced analytics tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau) and safety technology platforms.
