What You Bring to the Table We are seeking an experienced Director of Logistics with a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field and 8‑12+ years of progressive transportation or logistics leadership experience, preferably in ag, manufacturing, or industrial environments. You will develop and execute transportation strategies, manage carrier and rail partnerships, ensure cost‑effective and reliable delivery, and collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Management, and Operations teams to support business growth and exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced, seasonal production setting.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute transportation strategies aligned with sales goals, customer commitments, and operational capacity
Lead carrier and rail relationships, including sourcing, negotiations, performance reviews, and capacity planning during peak seasons and market disruptions
Manage freight budgets, rate negotiations, contracts, and cost‑saving initiatives while tracking key metrics such as on‑time delivery and freight cost per unit
Partner closely with Sales and Customer Management to support service‑level agreements, resolve escalated issues, and drive growth initiatives
Oversee daily transportation execution, network optimization, routing, and compliance with DOT, safety, and regulatory requirements
Champion transportation technology solutions (TMS, visibility tools) and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service performance
