Boulder, CO | Full‑Time | $125,000 – $135,000
What Makes Us Enveda Life is smart, and we can learn from it. We’re reinventing drug discovery by harnessing nature’s intelligence. Our platform identifies new medicines four times faster than the industry standard because patients can’t wait. What sets Enveda apart isn’t just what we do – it’s how we do it. Our culture is built on creativity, collaboration, and deep respect for each other. We believe “People Create All Value”, and our success is driven by the extraordinary team turning our mission into reality every day.
Our Momentum
Unicorn status : Achieved following a $150 million Series D funding round in 2025
Discovery and innovation : Advanced our first drug candidate to Phase 1 trials in 2024
Award‑winning culture :
Newsweek: Top 100 Global #MostLovedWorkplaces (2025)
Forbes: America’s Best Startup Employers (2024 & 2025)
Newsweek: America’s Greatest Startup Workplaces (2025)
Fast Company: Most Innovative Companies in 2026
These milestones reflect the impact of our team, and we’re just getting started – they’re only possible because of the diverse talent, perspectives, and relentless drive of our team, and people like you.
Your Role in Our Mission At Enveda, every role drives impact. As a
Synthetic Chemist
on our Differential Platform Team, you’ll be at the forefront of discovery in metabolomics. Your expertise in small molecule synthesis, particularly within human‑relevant chemical space, will be critical in accelerating our mission to identify unknown metabolites at scale.
What You’ll Do
Lead small molecule synthesis efforts
Design and execute efficient synthetic routes to access structurally diverse libraries of metabolites, including under‑explored compound classes
Develop and scale parallel synthesis workflows that enable rapid production of metabolite analogs for biological and analytical validation
Translate computationally predicted molecular structures into confirmed, fully characterized compounds, closing the loop between data science and wet‑lab chemistry
Establish best practices for synthesis prioritization, route scouting, and library design that allow the team to move quickly through large numbers of targets
You Will Collaborate On
Tight feedback loops with analytical chemists and data scientists who are predicting novel metabolite structures from mass spectrometry data at scale
Metabolomics teams who rely on synthetic standards to validate discoveries across large public and proprietary datasets
Shaping Enveda’s compound collection strategy, helping decide which regions of chemical space to explore next and how to build a library with lasting scientific value
We’re Looking For
A PhD in synthetic organic chemistry with 2+ years of hands‑on experience in small molecule synthesis design, execution, and analysis
Someone energized by variety – comfortable pivoting between compound classes, adapting routes on the fly, and working across dozens of distinct scaffolds rather than a single total synthesis campaign
A chemist who genuinely enjoys working at the boundary of computation and synthesis, and who sees data‑driven target selection as an opportunity rather than a constraint
Experience with library synthesis, diversity‑oriented synthesis, or high‑throughput chemistry in either an academic or industry setting, with a track record of delivering compounds on a timeline
Experience with mass spectrometry and LC‑MS is a plus
If you’re passionate about innovation and impact, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement.
Our Values Curiosity | Agency | Journey | Charity | Unity
Benefits 90% Medical, Dental, Vision | 401k Match | Flexible PTO | Adoption Assistance
At Enveda, we’re building a place where everyone can do the best work of their life. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in all its forms. Apply now and join a team committed to shaping the future of drug discovery.
