department. This position is responsible for assisting a Pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services in accordance with established procedures and methods and performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: PREREQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR PHARMACY AIDE ENTRY LEVEL:
No work experience required. Basic spoken and written English; personal hygiene and bodily care. Ability to read, write, speak and understand simple sentences in English; follow oral and written instructions precisely; get along well with others; demonstrate respect toward others; assist Pharmacists; and perform basic arithmetic computations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). PREREQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR PHARMACY AIDE FULL PERFORMANCE:
In addition to the qualifications required at the entry level. Experience and Essential Knowledge and Abilities: One (1) year of work experience in a hospital or other medically oriented institution, providing knowledge of working in a Pharmacy Department. Knowledge of prepackaged medications; maintaining accurate inventory records; applicable hospital/unit policies and procedures; ability to provide pharmaceutical support services in accordance with established procedures and methods; maintain records and prepare reports; and communicate effectively orally and in writing. CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Basic Life Support (BLS) in Health Care Provider (adult, child and infant) must be obtained within six (6) months of employment. Current certification in BLS is preferred. Ability to learn quickly; be a team player and get along well with others; be self-motivated; use a computer to enter and retrieve data; good memory; and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Company Description
