First Fed is a local community bank offering a career as a Relationship Banker I.

Position Purpose Process a variety of financial transactions for customers in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. Establish and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers, identifying Bank products and services to meet their financial needs. The Relationship Banker I performs the full range of transactions and account management duties and may work at different branch locations as assigned.

Essential Functions

Perform financial transactions in accordance with current policies and procedures, ensuring minimal errors and timely filing of account documentation.

Open consumer accounts.

Meet assigned sales, referral, and cross‑selling goals by identifying and selling Bank products and services beneficial to customers’ needs.

Develop and maintain a current knowledge of all products and services.

Respond promptly to customer inquiries for services.

Participate in assigned outbound business development activities including sales calls and networking.

Consistently balance cash and teller transactions in an accurate and secure manner within guidelines.

May perform vault duties such as ordering/shipping currency and coin and distributing money.

Ensure positive perceptions of the Bank by extending a courteous greeting and welcome to customers and visitors.

Take consistent responsibility for the safekeeping of money received and the prompt accounting or transfer of funds to safeguard against loss.

Address customer questions and concerns and refer to appropriate internal resources for resolution to achieve customer satisfaction.

Perform BSA and fraud regulation and compliance activities.

Support other branches by working in various locations as needed.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

High school diploma or completed GED.

Typically requires at least one year of cash‑handling experience in a retail environment using math skills to pay and receive cash, including balancing.

Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals.

Proficiency in building and expanding customer relationships.

Banking experience preferred.

Ability to communicate professionally verbally and in written form.

Ability to remain calm, friendly, and positive during all customer interactions.

Active listening and questioning skills to identify customer needs and match them with bank products and services.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume cash‑handling environment with daily face‑to‑face customer contact while providing a high level of customer service.

Proficiency in keyboarding and ten‑key/calculator skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel preferred.

Strong mathematical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Adaptable to change.

Confident understanding and utilization of technology.

Comfort with conflict resolution and problem solving.

Valid Washington state driver’s license.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Work activities involve combinations of sitting, standing, occasional walking and lifting up to 10 pounds. Normal office environment with a regular work schedule.

Pay Range

Base pay range: $19.44 – $33.05 per hour.

Typical hiring range: $19.44 – $21.00 per hour.

Incentive plan: Community Banking Incentive plan paid quarterly and annually based on branch and individual performance.
