Position Title: Engine Technician

Reporting to: Production Manager

Department: Service

JOB DUTIES

• Engine removal, disassembly/teardown

• Evaluation of components

• Repair/maintenance as needed of components

• Sending key parts for machining (not done at our facility)

• Engine reassembly

• Keep detailed records of all work performed

• Daily communication with parts department

• Daily communication with shop foreman and service writers with daily schedule to complete

• Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of two years engine building experience

• Experience with heavydiesel engines and generators

• High School Diploma/GED is required.

• Must be computer literate -- familiarity and experience with computers, software, and tablet systems.

• A good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions

• Solid shop floor management knowledge

• Valid Driver's License

WORK CONDITIONS

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
