Key Account Manager
We are seeking a dedicated Key Account Manager to take full ownership of a high-value managed repair program account. This is not a traditional sales role the account is established and actively generating revenue. The right person will be responsible for deepening the client relationship, managing day-to-day communication between the client and our internal operations team, and growing the account to its full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Knight and the client's internal team
- Own all communication, clarity updates, and project status reporting on behalf of Knight
- Participate in weekly project meetings and conduct site visits as needed
- Manage insured relationships at the property level, ensuring satisfaction throughout the claims and repair process
- Read and interpret Xactimate estimates; serve as checks and balances between client expectations and Knight's operations team
- Understand and enforce program-specific billing and documentation requirements (code coverage breakout, loss vs. ancillary line items, multi-estimate structures)
- Collaborate closely with Knight's dedicated project directors, supers, and estimators assigned to the program
- Identify and act on opportunities to grow Knight's share of work within the program
Ideal Background:
- 3+ years in restoration, construction, or a closely adjacent field
- Project Director, Senior Estimator, Project Manager, or Account Manager background strongly preferred
- CapEx/multifamily construction experience considered
- Ability to read Xactimate required; ability to write estimates not required
- Strong customer-facing communication skills comfortable interfacing with ownership-level contacts, property managers, and insureds
- Highly organized with a track record of managing multiple active projects simultaneously
- Collaborative, team-oriented, and coachable no egos
Preferred:
- Familiarity with managed repair or MGA programs
- Experience working within multifamily, habitational, or commercial real estate verticals
- Existing relationships within the multifamily space a plus
