Tasks
Your main tasks include, among others:
- Develop and execute the Americas regional strategy aligned with global and Business Unit objectives
- Identify market expansion opportunities, including new locations, services, and partnerships
- Own full P&L responsibility and drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost control
- Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and cash flow management
- Build strategic relationships with key customers and partners, leading major negotiations
- Ensure operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and continuous service improvement
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional leadership team in a global matrix organization
- Represent the Americas in the global leadership team and align regional execution with global strategy
• All other tasks as assigned by Disciplinary and Functional Leaders
Requirements
To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree desirable
- 10+ years’ experience in logistics or freight forwarding with a Bachelor’s, or 7+ years with a Master’s
- Strong industry knowledge in logistics and freight forwarding
- Fluent English required; German and Spanish desirable
- Advanced MS Office skills; Power BI user level
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High customer focus, professionalism, reliability, and accountability
- Team-oriented with strong judgment and commitment
- Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license required
- Ability to manage time pressure and high-stress environments
