Position Overview
The Associate Director Forecasting role leads end‑to‑end demand and revenue forecasting for AbbVie’s US Oncology brands (Elahere and Emrelis). It owns the development, enhancement, and governance of forecasting models across all planning cycles (LBE, Plan, LRP) and delivers insights that guide strategic and financial decisions. The position partners closely with Commercial, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership. It reports to the Franchise Finance Director and manages one direct report.
Core Responsibilities
General
- Lead development, refinement, and harmonization of Oncology forecasting models aligned to business strategy and planning timelines.
- Translate complex data into clear narratives that support strategic decision‑making and comply with corporate and legal standards.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Drive LBE, Plan, LRP, and S&OP forecast cycles, partnering with commercial and finance teams.
- Integrate actuals into forecasting models and ensure accuracy of revenue projections.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis.
- Present sales performance and forecasts to Commercial VPs and Marketing Directors.
Internal Reporting / Business Partnering / Ad Hoc
- Collaborate across functions to address business challenges with data‑driven insights.
- Align supply and demand forecasts with Operations function to optimize inventory and cash flow.
- Partner with Competitive Intelligence to incorporate market and competitor insights.
- Drive process improvements to enhance forecasting efficiency and communication.
People Leadership & Development
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and respect, recruiting and developing a highly motivated team.
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve forecasting and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in commercial finance, cost accounting, audit, and FP&A; forecasting and pharma experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Strong strategic thinking, capable of identifying value drivers and translating them into actionable steps.
- Ability to interpret market research and competitive events and translate into financial impacts.
- Proven problem‑solving and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated influence across functions and levels without direct authority.
- Proficiency with SAP, BPC, PowerBI, and Excel.

- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
