We are looking for a Director of Finance to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Our client is seeking a Director of Finance to lead both financial strategy and core accounting operations in a hybrid role based in Lewis Center, OH. This position blends high‑level financial planning, analysis, and leadership with hands‑on oversight of accounting, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating across finance and accounting and enjoys partnering closely with leadership to support business performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead overall financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
- Prepare and present financial statements, dashboards, and performance metrics to leadership
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and long‑range financial plans
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial risk
- Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, business decisions, and growth planning
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners
- Provide leadership and guidance to accounting and finance team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- Strong background in both financial reporting and financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Prior leadership experience managing or mentoring finance/accounting staff
- Experience working closely with executive leadership
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong systems and Excel proficiency; ERP experience a plus
