We are supporting a leading U.S.-based food manufacturing company (name confidential) in hiring a Senior Director of Supply Chain.

This is a critical leadership role responsible for end-to-end supply chain operations across procurement, production planning, inventory, logistics, and distribution in a multi-unit food manufacturing environment.

Vendors are invited to submit highly qualified, senior-level candidates with strong backgrounds in supply chain leadership within food, CPG, or manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term supply chain strategies to support business growth.
  • Lead all supply chain functions: procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory, and distribution.
  • Align production planning with sales forecasts and operational targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety standards (FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP).
  • Build and manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Finance, and Manufacturing teams to optimize workflows.
  • Improve logistics performance through data-driven metrics and continuous process improvements.
  • Lead cost-reduction, sourcing optimization, and supply chain efficiency initiatives.
  • Oversee raw materials purchasing, packaging procurement, and indirect goods sourcing.
  • Drive ERP utilization, supply planning accuracy, and cross-functional communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of supply chain or logistics experience, including 3+ years in leadership.
  • Strong experience in food manufacturing or food production (highly preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of supply chain systems, procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations, compliance standards, and quality systems.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-site or multi-unit supply chain operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and modern supply chain technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
