Imaging Director

Full‑time salary exempt position.

You are responsible for the daily operations of the department, including staff, productivity, budget, equipment, customer service, and patient relations. You also develop and implement a policy and procedure system to facilitate departmental operations. The Imaging Director reviews work schedules, participates in hiring, and implements strategies to recruit and retain employees. This position directly oversees the Imaging Services and staff operating imaging equipment ranging from an X‑ray machine to MRI equipment. This role requires excellent leadership skills with a philosophy of creating a high‑trust culture that empowers employees as individual contributors and fosters a strong team environment. Initiative, creativity, and outstanding written and verbal communications are required. Demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to complex problems. The individual reports to the Chief Administrative Officer.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Graduate of AMA and JCERT two (2) year Radiologic Technology program.
  • Seven (7) years post‑graduate experience with minimum three (3) years in an acute care/hospital setting.
  • Five (5) years supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • ARRT Registered; Washington State Radiologic technology license within six (6) months of hire; expertise or credentialed in one other modality.
  • Knowledge of Washington State Nuclear medicine regulations and knowledge of PACS preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Heartsaver level to be completed within three (3) months of hire.

  • Demonstrates competency in ability to care for customers/patients across the age continuum.
  • Occasional prolonged standing/walking, occasional lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Moderately heavy physical effort, lift/carry up to 30+ lbs.
  • Intermittent exertion when performing treatments.
  • Good reading eyesight; full visual acuity, depth perception, and color perception.
