Hamster Garage is a partner management agency based out of Chicago. Our expertise spans the partnerships and affiliates channel, encompassing affiliate marketing, brand partnerships, podcasts, influencer marketing, and more. We work with leading brands that are in a high-growth phase, such as Airbnb, Canva, Uber, Brex, Masterclass, Xero, and others. HG is a newer (established mid-2019), lean, and growth-minded agency working with innovative brands to meet their acquisition needs. Faced with an increasingly global client base, we are looking to expand our footprint globally as we broaden our coverage and business model.
Role Overview We're seeking a Senior Account Manager to lead our affiliate and influencer marketing initiatives to drive portfolio growth. As a key member of our management team, you'll develop new business opportunities, lead strategic client relationships, and partner directly with leadership on company initiatives.
Based in Chicago with flexible remote arrangements available, this role offers exposure to both partnership marketing strategy and agency building. Working directly with our Affiliate Account Directors and founders, you'll help drive growth for global brands and startups in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Ideal Qualifications: Experience working with Fortune 500 or VC-funded brands is strongly preferred
Experience with enterprise-level accounts across multiple regions
Self-starter willing to mentor junior staff and learn HG’s approach
Passionate about client management and multitasking without sacrificing quality
Detail-oriented and tactical in executing client initiatives
Ability to find creative solutions to client needs
Works well in a team, fostering a collaborative and fun environment
Exceptional project management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
KPI-driven and results-oriented
Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint is a plus
Displays accountability , meeting deadlines and commitments
Ability to work independently
Resourcefulness to research solutions independently
Experience with third-party affiliate platforms like Impact Radius, ShareASale, Partnerize, etc.
Operational and process-focused, capable of building scalable processes
Responsibilities Deliver results through creative, well-thought-out ideas and effective management
Contribute to business development efforts
Understand and align with client goals
Formulate and execute strategies to meet client objectives
Set clear expectations with clients
Lead partner recruitment
Manage a team of Account Managers and Associates
Communicate performance and strategy effectively
Ensure excellence in execution
Present, justify, and defend recommendations to clients
Recommend scale and efficiency improvements
Maintain strong strategic relationships with high-value partners
Test new tactics beyond traditional affiliates
Mentor and direct junior staff
Minimum of 3 years of affiliate experience for Account Managers and 5 years for Senior Account Managers
Knowledge of Affiliate Networks or SaaS platforms required
Ability to travel up to 10%
Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas and report customization
