Product Manager, Emerging Markets & Partnerships

– Electrical Wiring Systems (Wiremold) Team, West Hartford, CT. Responsible for development of comprehensive, customer‑centric product and/or channel strategy for new and developing markets. Creating product development roadmap, go‑to‑market strategy, operational execution plan & long‑term strategic mapping that drive incremental growth. Overseeing industry partnerships and University collaborations that expand our vision, innovation and improve our speed to market. Initial scope is the Data Center Market.

What Will You Do?

Research: track emerging trends related to growth opportunities, technology advancement, channel development and investment opportunities; lead 5‑year vision; monitor Salesforce opportunities; attend trade events; conduct research into long‑term trends & customer needs; identify and perform due diligence on M&A potential targets; regular field visits, customer interaction; educate product, marketing, sales teams on new stakeholders/personas.

Product Management: build, maintain and prioritize product roadmap, define product requirements, market sizing, business impact; translate ideas into comprehensive requirements documents; understand operational processes and constraints; oversee development of go‑to‑market/marketing materials for launches; develop and deliver training for sales team; collaborate & partner with Sr. PMs, monitor & review product line performance, define products requirements and develop kickoff materials.

Partnerships: identify partnerships within industry, supply chain and stakeholder communities; primary relationship and project management of discovery efforts with outside partners; company liaison to strategic universities to further concepting, research.

Leadership: represent brand in presentations to executive leadership, sales conferences and customer interactions; champion market strategy throughout organization and at customer‑facing events where possible.

Qualifications

BS in Marketing, Business or related required.

Minimum 5 years experience in marketing or related field.

1–2 years with explicit product management experience.

Minimum of 1 year direct exposure to the data center industry/ecosystem.

Solid business acumen and understanding of functional areas, industries/channels/markets.

Explicit experience with voice of customer.

Proven success in highly collaborative cross‑functional environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail.

Excellent project management skills, including ability to develop and manage project plans, set priorities & meet deadlines.

Advanced Excel skills – pivot tables, data analysis.

Strong computer skills, proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet & presentation software, e‑mail & meeting management software, internet/web resources.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, effective listener, maintain focus, extract information and validate understanding.

Inherent curiosity.

Preferred Skills

Specific electrical or electrical industry knowledge.

MBA or advanced degree.

Design Thinking training and/or experience.

Omnichannel experience and/or exposure.

Manufacturing experience and/or exposure.

Salesforce and PowerBI basic understanding.
