Proper Hospitality is seeking a dynamic, strategic leader to shape and scale the food and beverage vision across our growing portfolio of hotels—someone who can balance creativity with disciplined execution while elevating the guest experience at every touchpoint.
Position Overview The Corporate Director of Food & Beverage reports directly to the SVP of Food & Beverage and is responsible for the vision, performance, and evolution of all food and beverage programming across Proper Hospitality’s expanding portfolio. This role drives brand consistency while championing innovation, ensuring each property delivers best-in-class, locally relevant, and financially successful F&B experiences.
With continued expansion across multiple markets, this leader will play a critical role in scaling systems, developing talent, and elevating the overall culinary and beverage identity of the company.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
Define and execute the overarching F&B strategy across all properties
Ensure alignment between brand standards and property-level creativity
Identify emerging trends and translate them into actionable concepts and programming
Partner with executive leadership on growth strategy and new market entry
Operational Excellence
Oversee performance of all F&B outlets, ensuring profitability, quality, and guest satisfaction
Establish and refine SOPs, service standards, and operational frameworks
Analyze financial performance (P&Ls, cost controls, labor models) and drive continuous improvement
Lead multi‑unit operational reviews and performance audits
Concept & Brand Development
Collaborate with culinary, design, and marketing teams to evolve existing concepts
Ensure each outlet reflects Proper Hospitality’s brand ethos while remaining locally relevant
Guide menu strategy, pricing models, and beverage programs across the portfolio
Leadership & Culture
Mentor and develop property‑level F&B leaders (Directors, GMs, Chefs)
Build a strong leadership pipeline to support portfolio growth
Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and creativity
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Development, Design, Marketing, and Revenue teams
Support pre‑opening teams and ensure smooth operational transitions
Align F&B initiatives with overall hotel performance goals
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive F&B leadership experience, including multi‑unit oversight
Strong financial acumen with proven success driving profitability
Deep understanding of restaurant, bar, and hotel F&B operations
Experience with lifestyle/luxury hospitality brands preferred
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to travel frequently across properties
