You will provide oversight and direction to all rehabilitation staff. Promotes and participates in all aspects of rehabilitation to recognize the goals, visions, and expectations of Rivetus Rehabilitation. Performs various management activities such as program development, quality assurance, implementation of policies and procedures, supervision of rehabilitation staff, and promotion of customer service.
Responsibilities
Promotes customer service through the supervision of rehabilitation service delivery and coordination of activities with other departments, attending facility meetings to facilitate a comprehensive team approach.
Implements and monitors a quality improvement program for analysis and evaluation of data. Monitors quality of the medical record as it relates to reimbursement guidelines and accuracy.
Manages productivity and coordinates distribution of workload to promote continuity of patient care and scheduling.
Participates in recruitment and retention of employees through interviewing, orientation, and evaluation.
Reviews employee status change requests with the Regional Director of Therapy, including requests for accommodation and/or restrictions.
Coordinates and participates in new program development.
Manages performance and productivity standards to meet or exceed the established budget.
Informs staff of facility in‑service programs. Promotes and approves external conference requests.
Disseminates new information, i.e. staff meetings.
Monitors and maintains health and safety standards and fire, disaster, and infection control policies and procedures.
Implements and maintains administrative policies and procedures, as well as clinical standards of practice. Participates in review and development of the above.
Provides direct patient care, as required, in area of professional expertise/discipline, meeting the clinical and State of Michigan regulatory requirements of that professional discipline.
Recommends and prioritizes equipment and space needs to the Regional Director of Therapy.
Supervises all members of the Rehabilitation team.
Coordinates the organization of caseload distribution through scheduling.
Compiles outcomes for rehabilitation departments.
Performs other job‑related duties, as assigned.
Education and Accreditation
Must meet the educational and state requirements for Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy.
Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.
Two years clinical experience, including one year (preferred) in a supervisory capacity.
Skills and Abilities
Strong written and communication skills to develop reports, correspondence, and analysis.
Strong verbal communication skills to educate, influence, and support rehabilitation staff and other disciplines.
Strong leadership skills.
Strong customer relations skills.
Working knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting.
Ability to exercise mature judgment and initiative in analyzing problems and recommending solutions to provide effective rehabilitation services.
Ability to understand and react effectively to the needs of the various clinical age populations significant to everyday practice, evidenced through academic/clinical education and training and/or experience.
Ability to travel periodically to various work facilities, providing own transportation.
