Responsibilities
The Account Manager serves as the 'Customer Advocate' and primary point of contact for assigned clients, handling communication, processing, administration, troubleshooting, and advising on payroll and benefit administration. The employee ensures accurate, timely payroll processing, advises on best practices and compliance, enhances the use of the client's isolved HCM system, and responds to client employee inquiries via email. The role requires handling multiple company payrolls quickly and accurately in a fast‑paced environment.
Assure client satisfaction by effectively managing communication flow and maintaining ownership of client cases/issues to resolution.
Address client issues regarding isolved HCM usage, payroll/benefit/HCM‑and‑timekeeping questions, and enforce payroll policies.
Stay current on payroll‑related compliance (multi‑state wage, hour, tax) and new HCM developments, providing expertise to clients.
Maintain effective communication with clients and employees to obtain payroll data (demographics, salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, deductions, etc.).
Ensure client information and employee data are accurate and up‑to‑date in the HCM system.
Enter and organize all payroll‑related data (new hires, status changes, terminations) for timely, accurate payroll processing.
Send pre‑process reports to clients for approval, if applicable.
Approve and submit payroll on behalf of the client.
Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
Continue learning HR practices to support personal career growth.
Contribute to a continuous improvement culture and stay current with technology changes.
Uphold, support, and promote company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred); 2–5 years of relevant experience or training.
Fundamentals of Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) desirable.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Adobe software.
Experience with payroll data, multi‑state wage and hour laws, and HCM functionality.
Excellent customer service and relationship‑building skills; professional and approachable.
Strong time‑management, multitasking, and organizational abilities; detail‑oriented under a fast‑paced environment.
