Position: Architectural Designer – Buildings Team
Position Overview
Architectural Designer to join our Mission Critical practice within the Buildings Team for our Chicago, IL and New York, NY offices, contributing to complex facilities projects for leading technology clients.
We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country in which the job is located.
Responsibilities
Assist Project Architect in the preparation of construction documents and specifications using computer‑assisted design software and equipment.
Assist in the preparation and production of presentation materials, models, and material boards.
Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, reports, and supporting materials.
Support the coordination of design information with internal disciplines and external consultants.
Participate in construction‑phase activities, including assisting with on‑site observations and documenting field conditions under supervision.
Communicate clearly and professionally with project team members and, as appropriate, external stakeholders.
Participate in firm‑wide quality initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 4+ years of related experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Enjoy collaborating with a design team.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other technical design software.
Proficiency with additional architectural or visualization software (Rhinoceros, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a collaborative, fast‑paced work environment.
