JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary The Real Estate Valuation & Business Analytics Associate works within a team environment to assist in providing commercial real‑estate analytical, valuation, consulting, and business advisory services to developers, REITs, investors, financial institutions, hospitality companies, lenders, and Fortune 500 companies. This position works on various stages of valuation engagements, including specialized valuation for owner‑occupied and multi‑tenant properties specific to financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Assist in the creation of valuation assignments by providing research and due diligence for real‑estate valuations and reviews
Perform data analysis on large datasets through mass appraisal techniques
Construct valuation models
Assist with preparation of client deliverables
Research property‑specific details and manage internal records
Assist in structuring required documentation associated with valuation assignments
Abstract legal documents related to ownership transfers and leased properties
Assist in loading client data into databases for analysis
Cross‑reference data among various sources
Compose narrative reports to support valuation analyses
Participate in external and internal client meetings
Perform other duties as required
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferred focus in Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or Finance
Master’s degree in Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or Finance preferred
Experience
Internship or work‑study experience in valuation, corporate finance, or accounting environment preferred
License/Certifications
Real‑estate appraisal certification preferred
Software
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Advanced Excel modeling skills preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Superior analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct complex issues
Computer adaptability
Ability to analyze and organize high volumes of data
Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and deadlines
Ability to multi‑task independently or within a group environment
Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to interact professionally at all levels
Basic understanding of real estate
Salary Ranges California: $85,000 – $90,000 Colorado: $73,000 – $77,000 Illinois: $78,000 – $82,000 Maryland: $83,000 – $87,000 Massachusetts: $83,000 – $87,000 Minnesota: $70,000 – $74,000 New Jersey: $78,000 – $82,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $75,000 – $87,000 Washington: $78,000 – $80,000 Washington DC: $83,000 – $87,000
