Job Description
We are searching for qualified customer service representatives with personality and people skills. We grow quickly and offer many paths for advancement—from customer service to management and beyond.
Responsibilities
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, the work area, and the walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Training & Communication
Orientation and training will be provided on the job.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Job Requirements
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36° F in cooler areas to 90°F or above in some work areas.
Sudden changes in temperature in the work area and while outside.
Fumes from food odors.
Exposure to cornmeal dust.
Cramped quarters, including the walk‑in cooler.
Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing
Talking and hearing on the telephone.
Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
Depth perception.
Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Physical Requirements
Standing – most tasks are performed from a standing position.
Walking – for short distances and short durations on ceramic tile, bricks, or linoleum.
Walking – for short distances.
Surface – the work surface height ranges from 36″ to 48″.
Sitting – paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
Weight lifting – bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lb) are unloaded by hand truck; cases are stacked up to 72″ high.
Weight carrying – large cans (3 lb, 7 oz) and pizza sauce (up to 30 lb) are moved from storage to the front of the store; up to three trays of dough (≈12 lb each) can be carried at a time.
Weight pushing/pulling – moving trays on dollies requires a force of up to 7.5 lb; trays may also be pulled.
Climbing – infrequent access to stairs or ladders to change prices on signs, wash walls, and perform maintenance.
Stooping/Bending – forward bending at the waist is required at the pizza assembly station and during stocking; about 30‑45 s per session.
Crouching/Squatting – occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching – continuous; up, down, forward; up to 72″ to turn oven controls or change prices on signs.
Hand tasks – constant use of hands; eye‑hand coordination is essential; pinching for assembling boxes; manipulating pizza peel and cutters.
Machines, tools, equipment – use of pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel, rolling cutter.
