Position Overview Hartzell Propeller is seeking a high‑energy individual with a passion for aviation to join our Sales team as an OEM Customer Service Representative. This role focuses primarily on outbound calling and responding to inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and trade‑show interactions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of general aviation aircraft and propeller systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to act as a liaison between customers and our applications engineering team to confirm design needs and specifications. This position requires occasional domestic travel for trade shows.
Key Deliverables
Provide world‑class service to all customer inquiries and support closing deals with timely responses.
Understand product line and quote prices, credit terms and enter sales information for orders obtained.
Interact regularly with the Key Account Managers and assist with order management and forecasting for accounts.
Deliver excellent customer service by providing timely responses to customer inquiries and providing technical assistance to assure appropriate product selection for a given application.
Assist customers with general technical inquiries.
Coordinate with production, purchasing, and shipping to expedite product or services to meet customer needs.
Coordinate customer requirements with shipping and prepare export documentation if/when required.
Resolve customer complaints regarding billing or service rendered and refer service complaints to appropriate individuals for investigation.
Respond to lead inquiries and complete follow up tasks.
Develop weekly and end‑of‑month reports outlining sales activity of the team.
First Year Success Factors
Maintains and strengthens customer rapport/goodwill.
Basic technical understanding of highly engineered products for general aviation aircraft.
Working knowledge of propeller/aircraft development and US/foreign certification cycle, including Type Certifications and Supplemental Type Certifications.
Working knowledge of Hartzell’s engineering life cycle and PLM system for hardware configuration control.
Exhibits understanding of other Signia Aerospace many products and market position.
Requirements Education/Experience HS Diploma or GED required. A minimum of 5 years of customer service or sales experience required – aviation preferred.

Financial Understanding (Pricing, Margins, Costing)
Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM(s)
Experience with Invoicing
Understanding of Inventory Control
Basic computer skills; (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.).
