
Strategy Operations Associate

Rockstar Games is seeking a passionate Strategy Operations Associate who will play a key role in shaping how our Publishing teams make decisions, assess results, and uncover new opportunities for impact.
This is a full‑time, in‑office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.
What We Do
The Rockstar Games Strategy Operations team ensures alignment and clarity for every stage of our titles’ lifecycle, from roadmap planning to feature and marketing decisions.
We are a collaborative multidisciplinary group that works across different Game and Publishing teams to facilitate decision‑making.
The team connects the dots between goals, plans, and outcomes and benchmarks the impact of our decisions to inform future plans.
Responsibilities
Help drive alignment between publishing plans and business goals by preparing concise briefs and providing timely strategic analysis that supports decision‑making.
Work with the Live Service and other planning teams to compile insights from various sources, synthesize results, and identify gaps and opportunities.
Monitor and track trends in the gaming, entertainment, media, and technology landscapes to identify opportunities and business implications.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Corporate Development, Research and Analytics, and Marketing to gather and clarify goal‑setting requirements.
Translate requirements into plans that can track and assess outcomes and impact on organizational goals and decisions.
Support the discovery, research, planning, coordination, and communication of daily tasks and long‑term projects for the Strategy Operations team and related departments.
Assist the Senior Manager with the creation of reports and presentations that provide senior stakeholders insight into outcomes and impact on key performance areas and metrics.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, or strategy.
2+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, research, analytical, or similar roles that involve breaking down complexity and crafting actionable insights.
Avid gamer who plays and/or is up to date with major console, PC, and mobile releases.
Familiarity with major video game and entertainment industry business models and products (subscription, free‑to‑play, season passes).
Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, and PowerPoint.
Experience supporting dynamic, fast‑paced teams.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills – you like to gather information, data, and context to help teams make decisions.
Excellent synthesis and communication skills – you can ingest, summarize, and relay complex information effectively.
Pluses
MBA or other graduate degree preferred.

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between $75,500—$111,000 USD per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an at-will position and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
