
Foreign Trade Zone Coordinator

Job Summary
The Foreign Trade Zone Coordinator will be responsible for leading, managing, and executing all activities related to establishing and operating a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) at the Magna Mirrors facility. This role will oversee the full start‑up process of the FTZ, ensuring compliance with all U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and internal company requirements. The coordinator will work closely with cross functional teams, external partners, and regulatory agencies to establish efficient processes, maintain documentation standards, and support cost‑saving and operational objectives tied to FTZ utilization.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the start‑up and implementation of the Foreign Trade Zone at the Duncan facility, including project planning, documentation, approvals, and coordination with CBP.
Develop and maintain all FTZ procedures, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Oversee daily FTZ operations, including inventory control, security, record keeping, audits, and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, operations, and finance teams to optimize material flows and maximize FTZ benefits.
Manage communication with brokers, carriers, government agencies, and other external partners involved in FTZ activities.
Train facility personnel on FTZ procedures, compliance responsibilities, and system requirements.
Provide guidance on import/export compliance matters and support continuous improvement across all FTZ related‑processes.
Monitor regulatory updates and ensure the facility maintains compliance with all FTZ policies and standards.
Develop audit criteria and conduct audits as required to ensure compliance and maintain a state of readiness for CBP visits.
Requirements
3‑5 years of experience in customs compliance, Foreign Trade Zone operations, international trade, or related fields.
Strong understanding of CBP regulations and import/export compliance requirements.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to lead complex projects and collaborate across multiple teams.
Knowledge of inventory management systems and documentation standards preferred.
Preference will be given to a Certified Zone Specialist.
Experience with the implementation and maintenance of a CTPAT program is a must.
Must have a U.S. Customs License designation.
Will be disqualified if applicant doesn’t have a U.S. Customs License.
Travel Some Travel Required.
