Air Cond Technician – Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara
Engineering/Facility Maintenance – Administrative: Full-time, Local.
Summary Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, the first Hyatt House hotel in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, is scheduled to open in 2018. The hotel will feature approximately 298 guestrooms, a three‑meal restaurant, 3,100 square feet of meeting space, a fitness centre, and a sky pool. It is part of the larger mixed‑use development, Arcoris Mont ‘Kiara, which includes business suites, small home offices (“SoHo”), residential units, and a retail plaza.
We are looking for an experienced Air Cond Technician to join our team. The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and requires an individual who is driven, business‑savvy, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. You will work closely with other departments and be ready to lend expertise across the hotel.
Responsibilities
Takes an active role in resolving maintenance issues for both guest and associate areas, handling issues that can be dealt with immediately and reporting those that require specialist skill.
Properly handles and maintains all power tools.
Submits requests to the Engineering Manager for purchases of parts and consumables.
Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and protects the surroundings when executing duties.
Ensures effective energy conservation measures in areas of operations.
Ensures timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
Assists other hosts with duties throughout the hotel when requested by a superior.
Any additional specialist skill is an advantage.
Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with air conditioning and HVAC systems.
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills at all levels.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain productive in a fast‑paced setting.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
Knowledge of safety and energy‑conservation practices.
